I am honored to have been elected the new President of the Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine Friday at the national APMA in Boston. I’m very humbled by it as I look at the names that stood in this role before me. We have such an outstanding group of people and we like to think we treat sports injuries of the foot and ankle better than anyone else. Our academy has accomplished so much yet there is still more to accomplish. We continue to interact well and gain respect with other professionals and other sports medicine organizations. We continue to be the best source for shoe recommendations, and the hot topic of barefoot running and minimalist shoes. Our website continues to drive our academy with over a million hits per month. Visit www.aapsm.org. and see what you think. Anyone reading this, visit one of our esteemed Fellows if you suffer a foot/ankle injury.
